The English Arts & Crafts movement inspired this home’s material sensibility and planning.  The plan and form promote passive ventilation and a connection to outdoor terraces, ornamental gardens, and natural landscape amenities. Additional design features include intentional day lighting, solar thermal water heating, solar photovoltaic array, lake loop geothermal HVAC, extensive use of reclaimed and locally sourced natural materials, rain water harvesting, and use of native plants in landscape design.
