The early twentieth century Arts & Crafts homes of Asheville, NC inspired the material sensibilities of this home. The plan and form promote passive ventilation and connection to the natural setting.
Additional design features include intentional day lighting, solar thermal water heating, solar power generation, geothermal HVAC, extensive use of reclaimed and locally sourced natural materials, and use of native plants in landscape design.
Stone, pebble dash stucco, ceramic tile roof, reclaimed heart pine flooring, architectural heavy timber, and reclaimed mill tongue and groove decking.
