High Carolina - Mountain home architecture

High Carolina

Asheville, NC

The early twentieth century Arts & Crafts homes of Asheville, NC inspired the material sensibilities of this home. The plan and form promote passive ventilation and connection to the natural setting.

Additional design features include intentional day lighting, solar thermal water heating, solar power generation, geothermal HVAC, extensive use of reclaimed and locally sourced natural materials, and use of native plants in landscape design.
