Bank of Travelers Rest at Verdae
Greenville, SC
The oldest chartered bank headquartered in Greenville County anchors this two-story office building in Verdae. This community-focused bank wanted an architectural expression that was both progressive and connected with the local sense of place.
Locally sourced brick, stone, and hemlock detailing combine with glass and aluminum curtain wall and solar shading elements to achieve this goal. Transparent and translucent walls filter day light deep into the building interior, for an uplifting work place with a strong connection to the outdoors.
