Hope for Puerto Rico

Scott Johnston, the firm’s founder and principal architect, has been following the damage Hurricane Maria caused. As he said, “I was born in Puerto Rico and I’m so sad to see my island hurt so terribly by Maria, but I’m hopeful that it will recover and become stronger than ever.”

The Reuters article below looks at the way some people are planning to re-invent Puerto Rico’s electrical grid, to rely less on expensive coal and oil imports, and more on local wind, solar power and batteries.
